Our seven Scottish mills need approximately 1.4 million tonnes of roundwood timber each year to meet our sawmill production requirements. This is purchased from a mixture of private and state sector forests in Scotland and the North of England.

With an annual requirement of 1.4 million tonnes of roundwood timber to keep our seven sawmills operating, our long-term approach and commitment to forestry and harvesting is a vital part of sustaining our operations for generations to come.

James Jones & Sons manages the haulage of approximately 95,000 lorry loads of roundwood, sawnwood and co-products each year, to and from its seven sawmill sites, to customers throughout the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
