The latest milestone in the company’s sustained investment programme, James Jones & Sons is about to unveil its new £22.5 million state-of-the-art sawmill at Lockerbie in the south west of Scotland. Using leading edge 3D laser technology to scan every log and calculate optimal cutting patterns, Lockerbie 3 will deliver unprecedented sawn yields and represents one of the largest, most advanced wood processing facilities not just in Scotland or the UK, but the whole of Europe.
