James Jones & Sons Timber Systems Division recently donated timber to the Barratt Redrow Graduate Community Project.

Nine graduates from Barratt Redrow undertook a project to transform the outside play area of Ysgol Sychdyn, a primary school in Soughton, North Wales.

The school provided a wish list and Redrow’s aim was to fulfil as much of it as possible. The overall objective was to transform the school playground by delivering modular elements of play focused on nature and sustainability.

Olive Odagbu from Redrow commented; “The children’s learning and play experience will be enhanced by benches with planters, mud kitchens, mini libraries, and bird boxes.”

James Jones was delighted to help with the project and happily donated a mud kitchen and six sleepers, which will be transformed into three long benches for the children, and two planters.

Olive was at the school at the time of delivery and thanked James Jones very much for our most generous donation. “It all looks amazing, we are so grateful.”
