The Timber Accord, an affiliation of all the timber industry trade associations in UK, has launched a manifesto that sets out the role timber can play in creating a low-carbon built environment.
The manifesto highlights the benefits of building with timber, including embodied carbon, sustainable job creation and economic growth.
Importantly the manifesto looks at how building with timber can help Government meet its urgent requirement for affordable housing without compromising on quality or the target of all homes being zero carbon by 2016.
