James Jones & Sons' Lockerbie site was once again pleased to welcome the Scottish School of Forestry on their Borders Study Tour. We had the opportunity to discuss the softwood sawn timber supply chain, current challenges and opportunities facing the sector and look at large scale timber processing technology.

Rob MacKenna, General Manager, said "The group had lots of excellent questions and the visit provided an great opportunity to combine existing learning with the technical and commercial context in which we operate"

Neil Cleland, Deputy Curriculum Lead Land and Science, said "James Jones & Sons has always got an idea, plan, scheme and willingness to innovate and I find that really inspiring. Also the very fact its core values are based around innovation and fundamentally family and loyalty. Not only to employees, but the supporting industries too.
