The European Wood Protection Association (EWPA) held its 74th Annual Congress in Bath from 9–11 September, bringing together leading figures from across the European timber treatment industry.
The well-attended three-day event featured a packed programme of industry insights, expert presentations and valuable networking opportunities.
Rob MacKenna, General Manager at James Jones & Sons Ltd and WPA Director, was among the speakers. Rob provided an overview of the UK market for ground-contact timber, discussing UC4 treatment of spruce and the importance of industry collaboration. He also highlighted the UK C16 campaign as an example of the UK timber sector working collectively to promote and strengthen the market for homegrown timber.
