To ensure full system integration, appropriate metalwork to complement the new widths and depths is available from suppliers ITW and Simpson Strong Tie.
Business Development Manager Mark Tilston commented: “These new sizes will allow Architects much greater flexibility when specifying JJIs for roofs, walls and high-load floor applications. It will be more cost effective too: why use a D flange JJI when an A+ will do the job?”
The new I-Joist sizes are compatible with the company’s updated JoistMaster software (V3.31) and can be preservative treated to comply with NHBC requirements. All JJI-Joists are FSC accredited and independently carbon-assured to PAS 2050:2011.
