Neil Petrie and Martin Birse from our Mosstodloch site recently spent the day at the Agricultural Spring Show, supporting Royal Northern Countryside Initiative (RNCI) and Royal Highland Education Trust (RHET) by delivering talks on forestry and the importance of trees to the natural environment. Over 300 primary school children from Aberdeenshire schools attended, accompanied by their teachers and classroom assistants.
The sessions formed part of a wider programme of activities and talks throughout the day, highlighting land-based industries, with a strong focus on food and food production.
The James Jones team also handed out little trees for the children to plant, along with stickers and careers information. Leaflets outlining opportunities within James Jones & Sons were provided for teachers and helpers, which were well received.
