Our Lockerbie site received a visit from Annan Academy this week. The pupils are studying for a National 4 qualification in Rural Skills. We had a discussion about timber processing, the use of timber in construction and career opportunities in the forest industry. This was followed by a tour of one of the log yards and our sawmills.
The group were impressed with the overall size of the operation and the technology involved in producing sawn timber products.
