Lockerbie and District Rotary Club recently created some bird ,squirrel, bat and owl boxes, including feeders, using timber that was donated from James Jones & Sons. The club set up a stand outside Tesco in Lockerbie and sold the boxes to raise money for the Turkish and Syrian Earthquake appeal.
Bryan Woods, Club President, said "We collected £1033.65 for earthquake relief and we would like to say a huge thank you to the public and Tesco supermarket for supporting Lockerbie and District Rotary Club. A huge thank you to James Jones & Sons Ltd for timber and HMP Dumfries for the labour to enable Lockerbie and District Rotary Club to raise funds for this appeal. Thanks for your support."
