Last week our Lockerbie site welcomed a group of HNC Forestry students studying at Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC). We discussed the marketing and harvesting of commercial softwood species, timber processing activities in South Scotland and the importance of commercial Spruce plantations to the local economy. During the mill tour we were able to look at the range of products produced on site and talk about customers and end users.
