We enjoyed another bright and sunny day at Dipple Farm near Fochabers for the Future in the Field annual event, where James Jones & Sons proudly supported DYW Moray. The event brings together pupils from all eight Moray secondary schools who have an interest in land-based industries, giving them the opportunity to explore a wide range of career pathways.
As part of our commitment to promoting careers in the forestry sector, James Jones & Sons brought along one of our Hi Vision lorries, supported by members of our team. We were also fortunate to receive fantastic support from Forestry and Land Scotland, who provided a mechanics' van and mechanic, Forres Tree Services, who demonstrated tree surgery techniques and climbing equipment, and C. Thomson Harvesting, who supplied a harvester and operator.
Together, we gave pupils and teaching staff the chance to experience the forestry industry first-hand through interactive demonstrations and conversations with employers. From modern harvesting machinery to arboriculture and vehicle operations, the day showcased the diverse and rewarding careers available within the sector.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success, from our partner organisations for their invaluable support and the James Jones & Sons team.
