The £3m extension to Lockerbie Mill 1 log yard is now complete. Unsorted and sorted logs are now being stored on the area, providing much greater flexibility for the site and allowing movement of logs between Mill 1 and Mill 3 sawlines.
The extension project included the construction of a perimeter road and concrete slab for log storage. It will be serviced by a purpose built Sustainable Drainage System (SuDS), including solids and oil interceptors to handle all surface water drainage.
