James Jones & Sons was delighted to welcome a team of senior managers and directors from Forestry England yesterday, including Tristram Hilborn (Chief Operating Officer), James Simpson (Director of Operations), Wally North (Head of Forestry and Timber), Kevin May (Forest Management Director – North England) and Neil Gibson (Forestry and Timber Officer).
The day was organised through Confor, hosted by James Jones & Sons and included input from EGGER UK and A&J Scott Ltd as key wood processors in the North of England. The day was arranged to strengthen the connection between the Public Forest Estate and the wood processors who contribute significantly to the economic performance of Forestry England. We highlighted the level of investment in our facilities in the next 5 years and how this contributes to the new governments objectives of delivering green jobs, circular economy and net zero.
