The winners of the biggest ever Confor Awards received accolades at an industry dinner in Edinburgh on Tuesday.
Speaking ahead of the event, Confor Chief Executive Stuart Goodall said the evening was an opportunity to look ahead positively to the future. He commented: “This is a resilient industry, and amidst all the challenges we face, it is more important than ever to have representatives to champion our work and to realise the significant potential that exists across our sector."
Rosanna Curtis of Reheat won the Tom A Bruce-Jones Memorial Award for Future Leader in the Forest Industry, which is sponsored by James Jones & Sons Ltd.
The award is presented to an individual with outstanding skills, who has the potential to be a leader in the forestry and timber sector - someone showing initiative, passion and making a real difference to the sector.
Rosanna Curtis, Senior Consultant at Reheat, works across a range of specialisms, including low carbon heating and forestry projects, and is especially interested in how data can progress a sustainable and just transition. Since starting at Reheat as a Graduate Consultant in 2020, she has made a particular success of reviving the Northwoods forestry support initiative, where she has delivered genuinely exceptional results from a standing start.
