Volunteers have made a local beauty spot even more appealing with three new features.
Friends of Blairs Loch (FBL), who have been refurbishing the site's bothy and boathouse, have built a bird hide on the water's edge and a bridge to an island picnic table, all constructed principally from JJI-Joists, donated from James Jones & Sons Timber Systems Division in Forres.
A new 'swan hide' is the first of a handful that FBL hope to erect. It was designed and built by volunteers with materials and funding donated by James Jones & Sons and Keith Builders Merchants.
The overall project aim was to create a mixed use community amenity for both recreational and educational purposes. The intention is to build another couple of bird hides for positioning around the loch.
