James Jones & Sons welcomed 20 Architectural Technology students to its Aboyne sawmill on Friday. The students are in their third year at Scott Sutherland School of Architecture & Built Environment - Robert Gordon University.

All students received a brief presentation on the James Jones Group before engaging in an interactive discussion on the importance of specifying C16 British timber. The students were then split into two groups before being given a full tour of the sawmill.

Jamie Yorkston, Lecturer & Chartered Architectural Technologist at RGU said "Speaking on behalf of the staff and students, the visit was incredibly interesting and fascinating. You’ve certainly left a lasting impression on us all and C16, I am sure, will be a talking point for each student (and myself I might add!). So thanks again for the support."
