The JJI-Joist system combines the JJI-Joist products with custom sized glued laminated timber (glulam) and system specific metalwork to create a highly flexible offering, ideal for framing structural floors, roofs and walls. Like all James Jones' products, the JJI-Joist production process has been independently audited to PAS 2050 standard meaning we are able to provide accurate carbon negative numbers for those customers looking to measure the carbon footprint of their project.
Our recent £4.5 million investment in a new finger-jointing line and production plant improvements means that we have the capacity and flexibility to meet the anticipated growth in demand for our engineered timber products.
Superior I-Joists from the first purpose-built production line in the UK designed to meet the needs of the UK construction industry.
Design efficiency is key to the success of the JJI-Joist system and we have developed a number of software design tools for this purpose. Our highly skilled sales and technical team allows us to offer some of the finest technical support in the industry.
The JJI-Joist system is extensively used for floors but its flexibility allows it to be used for roofs and walls as well, and it has been combined with other products to develop a range of bespoke systems to solve a variety of construction problems.
James Jones & Sons' Timber Systems Division works closely with the UK’s two leading manufacturers of timber engineering hardware to continually develop and extend the range of fixings available to suit the JJI-Joist system.
High specification glued laminated timber specially sized to integrate seamlessly with the JJI-Joist product range
Our JJI-Joist production processes have been independently validated and, as a result, we are the first UK timber company to able to undertake PAS 2050:2011 carbon reporting. This means we can supply architects and specifiers with accurate carbon data.
We produce around 40% of all the i-joists sold in the UK and our JJI-Joist is the I- joist specified most often by architects.
