James Jones & Sons Ltd new acquisition

We are very pleased to announce that as of 6th September 2011 James Jones & Sons Ltd has acquired the business of Larch Ltd. Larch Ltd is a successful pallet manufacturing business, with 45 employees, operating from a 14 acre site in Wrexham and another site in Workington. Larch specialises in 2-way pallets and will complement our existing pallet company, Unit Pallets, which concentrates on 4-way pallets, particularly for the pallet pools.

Larch will continue to operate independently as a wholly owned subsidiary of James Jones & Sons Ltd with Tommy Cerrone remaining as Managing Director, along with the existing management team.

The synergies between Larch and Unit coupled with the support of James Jones & Sons Ltd, the UK's largest producer of pallet timber, will lead to increased efficiency and a better product offering. Both Larch and Unit have exemplary reputations for service and quality which gives a very sound platform on which to build.
