2012 Scotland’s Finest Woods Awards Welcomes the James Jones & Sons Ltd Trophy.

The 2012 Scotland's Finest Woods Awards are delighted to have a raft of sponsors for this year's Awards programme.The focus of the Scotland's Finest Woods Awards in 2012 is on the sustainable management of our woods and forests and the economic, environmental and social benefits they deliver to people in Scotland.

SFW Chairman, Chris Inglis, said: "We are absolutely delighted that so many sponsors, new and old, are on board for the 2012 Awards and we look forward to a another exciting year of competition. In particular we welcome James Jones & Sons Ltd, Scottish Woodlands Ltd and UPM Tilhill as new sponsors. New sponsorship is enabling us to to strengthen further our line-up of awards and prizes".

"New Commercial woodland, is a brand new category in the Quality Timber Awards this year. It is the James Jones & Sons Ltd award for newly-planted commercial woodlands focusing on productive conifer woodland of 10 hectares or more in extent, up to 5 years old and established on previously bare land." Entry is open to woodlands located anywhere in Scotland.
