Established in 1905, James Jones & Sons is Scotland’s largest independent sawmiller and one of the leading suppliers of British timber in the UK with a client portfolio that includes most of the country’s timber merchants, DIY stores and major house builders.

The Group’s most recent major investment, completed in 2010, is now in full production.  Situated at Lockerbie, the £24.5M sawmill investment features the most modern and efficient technology delivering high sawn yields, optimal cutting patterns and sawn accuracy.  This investment brings the total site capex to over £40M in ten years and the site is now one of the most modern and largest sawmill complexes in Europe.
